It's been much longer than anticipated to update our blog here! Our chamber board of directors have been juggling our Bethpage businesses and personal lives while doing our best to volunteer time to manage the chamber and it's been a big challenge. While we love supporting the community and getting events and information out to the world, writing a blog has been on the back burner. We do issue a weekly newsletter every Friday afternoon with the latest happenings and special offers from our merchants. There are several hundred subscribers that actually open our president written update so it's worth signing up to get the info direct to your email inbox if social media isn't on your radar.

We also request that our members send in their holiday and special sales or notices for inclusion in the weekly letter. It's a courtesy we offer to help boost the word but also very hard to gather as we manage our lives with only a few hours a week to gather the graphics and events so please encourage your management to email pdfs and jpegs before 12PM on Fridays to be added to the roster along with any photos or extra information that you want our subscribers to read for publicity and recognition to fellow businesses and the community of Bethpage.

Right now the big push is for the upcoming America's 250th celebration and July 3rd Bethpage Independence Parade on the Friday morning & afternoon before the holiday weekend. We already have an incredible list of participants including civic organizations and big name corporations and veterans to march but more are welcome! It's going to be a fantastic event and we hope that you sign up to march with us and even get to create a festive float to celebrate our nation's birthday.

Please get your sign up forms in to the Knights of Central Park who are helping to organize the event and mark the date on your calendar to let clients know to come down to Bethpage. They might even see it on TV as a reminder but it's sure to be a great day for all! We will share more details soon.
